Open Atrium
Open Atrium is an intranet solution from DevelopmentSeed with a group space architecture that is configurable on a group by group basis. Groups and features can be private or public which makes it a perfect primer for intranet and extranet projects. Out of the box It comes with six features: a blog, a wiki, a calendar, a to do list, a shoutbox, and a dashboard to manage it all.
In this collection you'll find use cases of the Open Atrium platform and how to build them. You can use the packages in the collection to build a specification for your Open Atrium project. You can also add packages that explain the functionality of a feature you have built.
Project blog
A public blog that allows you to communicate the progress on a project with the outside community. Especially useful for projects that want to keep all of their stakeholders (both known and unknown) informed (e.g. public sector, grassroots, open source, etc.).
Private Wiki
A set of Wiki pages that can be used by a team. Enable the Atrium Documents feature and add it in the appropriate group space or feature preset in private mode. Consider using a translation hack to exchange "Documents" for "Wiki" in the UI.
Documentation
Documentation integrates with the ticket management/case tracker system in Open Atrium. Pages can be sorted in hierarchy that you can be build up around the different topics (much like the chapters in a book). You can edit the documentation just like you would edit a wiki. Enable
the Atrium Documents feature and add it in the appropriate group space
Calendar
A calendar to manage events and meetings in your project with ical integration (e.g. Google calendar). Enable
the Atrium Calendar feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset in private mode.
To do list
A system that lets you assign tasks to yourself and others and track the progress on a project. Enable
the Atrium Case Tracker feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset in private mode. Consider using a translation hack to
exchange "Case tracker" for "Todo list" and "Case" for "Todo" in the UI.
Private shoutbox
An instant messaging area in your group space where your team can leave short messages. Enable
the Atrium Shoutbox feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset in private mode.
Dashboard
Aggregates content from Open Atrium features and displays it in a dashboard. Is particularly usefull as the "frontpage" for a group space. Enable
the Atrium Dashboard feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset in private mode.
Time Tracker - Bubbletimer
A form in the user space that lets individual users check off how much time they spent on a certain project, 15 min at a time. Users can control what projects appear in their form. Enable
the "Bubbletimer input form" feature.
Ticket import from Spezzle
Import text fragments that were marked up in Spezzle as cases for a project in Open Atrium. Enable
the Spezzle feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset. Add the ticket exports from the export tab on the relevant project as a feed in the Spezzle feature tab.
Development blog
A group blog that allows your team to communicate the progress on a project
with your customers. Enable the Atrium Blog feature and add it in the appropriate group space or feature preset in private mode.
Ticket managment system / Case tracker
The casetracker lets you assign (development) tasks to yourself and others and track the progress on a project. Enable
the Atrium Case Tracker feature and add it in the appropriate group space
or feature preset in private mode.
